Message from Principal

I am very proud to be the Principal at Al Basma as we continue to drive our school forward at an accelerated pace and strive to be the best in all that we do.
During my tenure, our diverse school population has developed into a vibrant, tolerant, ambitious, collaborative and cohesive community, where all stakeholders can contribute to and are invested in our individual and collective achievements.
Our external examination results continue to go from strength to strength as our Al Basma students progress through the school. We are very excited to build on the outstanding achievements of Y12 and 13 in their AS and A Levels in 2021. Our current Y13 students are the first cohort of Al Basma graduates to have completed the whole of the secondary phase of their education (Y7 to 13) at Al Basma.
I joined Al Basma in 2015 having previously worked at two outstanding schools in the UK for 12 years, and as Vice Principal at Belvedere British School (Musaffah) from 2013 to 2015. I am very lucky to have developed an outstanding team of senior and middle leaders, many of whom have been with us since I joined in 2015. I look forward to supplementing our team of excellent academic staff with experienced and enthusiastic teachers and welcoming our new students and parents into the Al Basma family in September.
